THE ORIGIN OF PURE CASHMERE

PURE AND PRECIOUS

The Mongolian nomads breed cashmere goats on the high plains of Mongolia that border the Gobi desert. In order to survive the extreme conditions of their habitat where temperatures can fall to minus 45°C these exceptional animals have developed a type of hair that protects against cold like no other. In the spring, when it gets warmer and the goats shed their fur, the valuable wool is collected by combing and then made into one hundred percent pure cashmere by local weavers. Like no other ULRIKE HEFEL understands how to process this precious commodity whilst retaining its unique purity and meeting international colour trends.
